About SCIO

What Is Biofeedback?
Biofeedback is a mind–body method that helps you learn how to consciously influence your body’s functions through real-time feedback.
Small sensors placed on the skin measure physiological signals such as heart rate, muscle tension, skin temperature, or brainwave activity. These measurements are then displayed on a screen, giving you instant visual or auditory feedback about how your body reacts to stress or relaxation.
Through guided practice, you learn to control these responses using breathing, relaxation, focus, and awareness techniques — helping you regain control over your body and mind.

Drug-free, measurable, and personalized
Biofeedback merges biology and technology to strengthen your body’s natural self-regulating processes. It’s a safe, non-invasive, and measurable complement to medical or therapeutic care, fully tailored to each individual’s needs.
Biofeedback can effectively support:
-
Reduction of stress and anxiety
-
Chronic pain management
-
Blood pressure regulation
-
Enhancement of mental performance and focus
-
Stimulation of the body’s natural recovery and regeneration
More than a therapeutic tool, biofeedback is a path to self-awareness — enabling individuals to create change not only at the level of symptoms but at the source of imbalance itself.

Preparing for your SCIO Assessment
Preparing for Your SCIO Assessment
To ensure the best possible assessment experience, we recommend that you prepare for your appointment by maintaining good hydration and drinking plenty of water throughout the day before your session. It is also advisable to eat normally, continue taking any prescribed medications as directed by your healthcare provider, and aim for a restful night’s sleep prior to your appointment.
For the 24 hours preceding your assessment, we recommend avoiding alcohol consumption, excessive caffeine intake, recreational substances, and strenuous physical activity. On the day of your appointment, please wear comfortable clothing, arrive on time, and bring details of any medications, supplements, or health concerns you would like to discuss with your practitioner.
What to expect during your SCIO Assess
What to Expect During Your SCIO Assessment
Your appointment will begin with a confidential consultation during which your practitioner will discuss your health history, current concerns, lifestyle factors, and wellness goals. This conversation helps ensure that your assessment is tailored to your individual circumstances.
The SCIO assessment is performed while you are comfortably seated. Sensors are gently attached to the wrists, ankles, and head, allowing the system to collect biofeedback information. The process is entirely non-invasive and painless, and many clients find the experience relaxing and informative.
Following the assessment, your practitioner will review the findings with you and explain any areas that may benefit from additional support. You will then receive personalised wellness recommendations based on the information gathered during the session. These recommendations may include guidance relating to nutrition, lifestyle habits, stress management, general wellbeing, and other supportive measures appropriate to your individual needs.
A Full Body MOT Assessment typically lasts approximately 90 minutes.
